Touch for Health

How often in this day and age of touch devices does one experience a gentle truly healing touch...? A touch that relieves pain, heals wounds, gives strength and hope.

Touch for Health offers just such a touch. It will help you connect with your wishes, your inner desires and then balance your body in order to support you on your way to fulfill them.

The founder, Dr. John Thie, believed that every person is special and if they fulfill their unique potential, both they and those around them can be happy. He created Touch for Health as a tool to balance people so that they can find and fulfill this potential.

Who is it suitable for? Almost for everyone. It brings relief in situations where one is clearly in discomfort, but from an “objective” point of view everything is fine. It can relieve pain, fatigue, or when we just don’t feel well.

Touch for Health is very physical. All techniques are performed on the body, as the name suggests, the basis is touch. It is also suitable for those who do not feel like “digging” in themselves too much: no long talking is necessary, although the absolute basis is self-responsibility. It won't tell you what to do, but it will help you figure it out.

In this spirit, the actual balancing is also carried out. Mental work is kept to a minimum. At the beginning of the session, a goal is defined so that the balancing has a certain framework. The goal can be something very specific, but real. It should satisfy the four P i.e. be defined positively, in the present tense, be possible, and personal. Alternatively, also sufficiently precisely defined and a bit performant, i.e. somehow personally charged. It could be I can move my right arm freely, run a mile in 8 minutes or even I sleep well and wake up full of energy.

This is followed by muscle testing to determine where energy is not flowing as smoothly as it could, and the balancing techniques. There are sessions that are very physical, we just “move arms and legs”, occasionally rubbing or holding a point. It is very useful in the case of symptoms without an organic cause, i.e. a person is obviously not feeling well but is medically quite healthy. There are sessions, where emotions may arise, which again we mainly observe and let pass.

Ethics and self-responsibility are very important. The kinesiologist is there to monitor the muscles, occasionally ask a question.

As with any method of kinesiology, we do not cure, we do not diagnose, we are not psychologists or therapists. Only by using certain non-invasive techniques can we help the client to get into balance, to gain a new perspective on their situation and perhaps even to find the strength to confront what has so far seemed hopeless.

Especially in today's age of virtual communication and artificial intelligence, Touch for Health seems more important than ever. It offers something completely unique that you can't get from Zoom - a human touch.

Training path

The Touch for Health training is covered by the International Kinesiology College to ensure that the courses are uniform and that the quality of both the instructors and the kinesiologists is high over the long term.

Touch for Health is practiced and taught in approximately 60 countries around the world. In the field of kinesiology, this is the absolute foundation. And now it's finally in the Czech republic! To ensure the quality of the classes and students, we are being supervised by Touch for Health UK. Basic training called Synthesis can be taught by Czech instructors, who are listed on the IKC website: https://cloud.ikc.global/find-a-class

Within Synthesis you will learn simple techniques that you can do on yourself and on your loved ones in a few minutes, without the need to initiate them into any “esotericism”. But you will also learn to do a comprehensive balancing using muscle testing and other minor non-invasive techniques.

Specifically, you will learn: the principle of muscle testing in a responsible way, the five elements model, the principle of meridian function and balancing, food testing (no, we are not nutritionists), energy techniques for working with muscles, and many other techniques to reduce stress, increase energy, and improve overall well-being.
